NORMAN Workshop on Chemical Pollutants and Biodiversity
December 6, 2022 | 9h00-16h00 CET
NORMAN is an international network of more than 90 reference laboratories, research centers and related organisations for monitoring and assessment of contaminants of emerging concern. NORMAN is organising this hybrid workshop to discuss links between environmental data and research for chemical pollutants and biodiversity. Our ambition is to build bridges between NORMAN and the biodiversity community to:
(i) discuss the linkage between chemical pollution and biodiversity loss and the implication of the new role of chemical pollution within the theoretical framework of the planetary boundaries, and,
(ii) to bring together existing expertise on chemical pollution and biodiversity, promote cooperation, combination of existing databases on both fields, and joint studies that may be published.
